The go to is mums, mums and more mums. I’ve got nothing against them but as the only addition to your fall landscape they can end up looking a little uninspired. So what’s a gardener to do? Add interest with not only plants but other structural and decorative accents. We came up with a few favourites that fall (ha ha) in perfectly with autumn colour and cooler temperatures.
Plants – perfect for containers!
Pansies (not just for spring!)
Shrubs – Remember it’s a great time to plant shrubs as they get they thrive in cooler weather and have an entire winter to establish a strong root system.
Evergreens – always great as they maintain their colour and shape as temperatures plummet
Gourds and Pumpkins
Garden Sculptures and Gazing Balls
Bird Feeders – enjoy the added dimension of movement
